Guiding Star Wakota staff members will determine whether you may qualify for financial aid—including rental or housing assistance—through Cradle of Hope, a nonprofit organization that assists women who are pregnant or have infants under three months of age. Through its Safe Slumber Program, Cradle of Hope also distributes Pack-N-Play portable cribs so newborns are guaranteed a safe, comfortable sleeping environment.

As an official Cradle of Hope distribution site, Guiding Star Wakota can provide the cribs immediately to women who qualify for financial aid and complete a Safe Sleep class—which includes reviewing the safe and appropriate use of a portable crib.

Even if you don’t qualify for assistance from Cradle of Hope, you are still eligible to receive a free Pack-N-Play provided by GSW donors. You’ll just need to complete the same Safe Sleep class.
