The best way to understand Guiding Star Wakota is to experience it in person. Walk through our beautiful center, meet the people changing lives everyday, and see first-hand how women, babies, fathers, and families are finding hope, support, and a place to belong.
Volunteer Your Time
Guiding Star Wakota runs on the generosity of volunteers. From sorting donated clothing to packing diapers and wipes for babies, your hours make a direct impact in the lives of the families we serve. Volunteer activities include:
– Sorting and washing donated baby and maternity clothing
– Child watch
– Packing diapers and wipes for distribution
– Interior and exterior facility maintenance
– Assisting with special events and drives
Most opportunities are available weekdays between 9:00am and 4:30pm.
Host a Drive or Event
Pull your school, parish, or friends and family together to support us through hosting one of the following:
– Baby Bottle Drive
– Baby Shower
– Diaper Drive
– Out of Uniform Day

Pray
– Visit our Eucharistic chapel to pray for our clients and staff.
– Attend Mass with us the first Wednesday of each month at 8:15am.
